In conjunction with Singapore celebrating our Golden Jubilee, PAYM is spearheading a nation-wide campaign, aptly named the Youth Aspirations for Singapore Campaign to engage young Singaporeans to express and share their hopes and dreams for Singapore. As part of the campaign, PAYM has launched a mobile application, Chingay Youth Aspiration Application (C’YAA). This App is developed by PAYM network of volunteers and published by iCare4U on behalf of PAYM.

Through the C’YAA functions, the campaign hopes to call on youths to express and share their aspirations through i) voting for the top 10 values and visions; ii) penning down hopes and dreams for Singapore; and/or take Chingay-related photos and post them up on C’YAA to share with their family and friends.

Chingay Parade started in 1973 as a street show held during the Lunar New Year period. Over the decade, it has grown to become Asia’s grandest street and floats parade and participated by thousands of local and international performers annually.

The year of 2015 marks 50 years of nation building in Singapore. In order to celebrate this special occasion, this year’s Chingay will feature a whole new Chingay App that not only allow users to view from their fingertips images and videos from past Chingay events, but also participate in the “Youth Aspirations for Singapore” Campaign, a nation-wide movement to call upon youths to express and share their hopes and dreams, and come forth to co-create Singapore’s future, through voting from 10 values and vision they believe in and also pen down their hopes and dreams for Singapore. In addition, the apps allow users to take a selfie with their love ones and post it to the Chingay Facebook page and the App gallery.

The Chingay App will also feature a game, Harmony Bee, where gamers compete in navigating the character through obstacles while cruising along Singapore’s iconic infrastructures and landmarks.
